1000 entrepreneurs from 63 countries convene at Startup İstanbul
TOBB Startup İstanbul is bringing the prominent investors and entrepreneurs of the world together in İstanbul. A thousand guests from among global entrepreneurs have been invited to the event. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, drawing attention to the fact that many companies direct their operations in hundreds of countries from İstanbul, said, “İstanbul can act as a center for not just large companies but also a center for startups in Asia, Europe and Africa. TOBB Startup İstanbul is the first step in making İstanbul into global entrepreneurship center.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu attended inauguration of the new legislative year
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening of the inauguration of the 26th Second Legislative Year of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA). Speaking at the event, President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “We must not forget July 15th or allow it to be forgotten.” TGNA Speaker Kahraman said, “Our nation proved that it has embraced democracy and will not allow another coup to succeed.”

Realities of economy not reflected by rating organization appraisals
Answering questions from Anadolu Agency, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, in regards to credit grade reduction by Moody’s, “It is clear that the realities of the economy are not reflected by rating organization appraisals. We’ve gained significant ground for the improvement of the business and investment ecosystem in our work with the public administration. I believe that these efforts will soon bear fruit and Turkey will regain its rapid growth rates.”

Showcase opportunity for rapidly growing companies
