Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

D8 Secretary General Ambassador Isiaka Abdulkadir Imam and Trade Director Punjul Nugraha visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and met with TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz and TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department Head Ahmet Saygın Baban paid a congratulatory visit to Vocational Qualifications Authority President Cemal Cihan Coşkun and wished him success in his new position. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Foundry Industry Council meeting was held by video conference with the participation of TOBB Vice President Salih Zeki Murzioğlu and high-level representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations under the chairmanship of Council President Uğur Kocaoğlu.​

The Board of Directors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Arbitration Center, which is chaired by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, met online.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Patent and Trademark Attorneys Council held its first meeting of the year via video conference. At the meeting, the effects of the work done by the assembly on public opinion, its contributions to the profession and the preparations for the sector report were discussed.​

The Mediation Council Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Hakan Öztatar, General Director of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, with the participation of Hasan Çağlayan Dündar, Advisor to the President of TOBB and Head of Real Sector R&D and Implementation Department.​

The meeting of non-EU countries of the Union of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Eurochambres), of which the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu is the Vice President, was held via video conference hosted by the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​

The Bulgarian-Turkish Business Forum organized by the Bulgarian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BULTİŞAD) was attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Board Member and Turkish-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum Co-President Cengiz Günay wherein he gave the opening speech.​

The meeting on ‘Evaluation of Wooden Structures in Post-Earthquake Construction’ was held by TOBB Forest Products Council on March 20 at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building.​

During the first two months of the year 2023 the number of newly established Companies and the number of cooperatives increased by 11,6% and 63,0% while the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 3,2% with respect to the same period of the year 2022.​
