Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Forest Products Council, in which the sector's targets for 2024 were evaluated, was held at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building under the chairmanship of Council President Haluk Yıldız with the participation of TOBB Board Member Saim Özakalın and Bülent Güneş, Deputy Head of the General Directorate of Forestry Operation and Marketing Department.​

The 17th Secretaries General Meetings organized to discuss the practices regarding the Chamber / Exchange legislation was held with the Secretaries General of Ardahan-Kars-Erzurum-Iğdır-Ağrı-Van-Hakkari-Muş-Bitlis Provincial and District Chambers / Exchanges.​

Information programs organized in various provinces in order to harmonize the Chamber and Commodity Exchange Members with the green transformation process and to raise awareness continued at Polatlı Chamber of Commerce.​

A meeting was held with Nurten Öztürk, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council, Fatma Aydoğdu, Serap Kocaoğlu, Vice Presidents, Saygın Baban, Head of TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department and Rim Siam, President of the Egyptian Women Entrepreneurs Board with the participation of TOBB Entrepreneurship Directorate.​

The number of domestic goods certificates approved in August 2024 decreased by 19.8% compared to the same month of the previous year. According to the Domestic Goods Communiqué (SGM 2014/35) prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology pursuant to Article 63 of the Public Procurement Law No. 4734 and published in the Official Gazette dated September 13, 2014 and numbered 29118, 1,022 Domestic Goods Certificates were approved by TOBB in August 2024.​

The Opening Meeting of the Project on Harmonization with the EU's New Battery Legislation and Establishing a Management System for Electric Vehicle Batteries was held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Ankara Union Center.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Vice President Ali Kopuz and TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günday attended the opening of the ÇEF 2024 Fair organized in cooperation with Çerkezköy Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Çerkezköy Municipality and visited the stands.​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in August 2024 increased by 7.39% (316 units) compared to August 2023 (4,275 units) and reached 4,591 units.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Beverage Industry Council convened to discuss sectoral issues under the chairmanship of Ozan Diren, Chairman of the Council, with the participation of Cengiz Günay, Member of the Board of Directors of TOBB, to hold the September 2024 evaluation meeting via video conference.​

Şekib Avdagiç, Vice President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, met with Inalvis Bonachea Gonzales, European Director of the Cuban Ministry of Commerce, and the accompanying delegation.​
