Shame on those who place their hopes on violence and terror

21.09.2011 / Ankara

In his speech regarding the explosion in Kızılay, Ankara which caused the deaths of 3 and injured 34 and the attack in Siirt where 4 lost their lives while 2 people were injured, the TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they condemned any and all violent attacks that cost the lives of innocents, saying, “Shame on those who place their hopes on violence and terror.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed the following in his speech;

“The explosion at the heart of our capital, in Kumrular Street, Kızılay and the attack in Siirt has saddened us all deeply. These incidences, which resulted in the death of 7 and the wounding of 36 of our citizens, are cause for sorrow for humanity. I condemn and renounce these attacks which aim to spread terror throughout society without regard to casualties.

Acts of terrorism and violence which trample the honor of humanity can never be a means to an end. This is the first thing that the perpetrator of these vile attacks should know.

On behalf of the business world, I pray for the grace of Allah upon those who lost their lives and present my condolences to their families, loved ones and our exalted nation and wish for a speedy recovery for the wounded.”
