TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech here, stated that the Ovit Tunnel connecting the Black Sea to the south has been completed and the Rize-Artvin Airport has been opened for operation, “Allah willing, thanks to all these, our Rize, which is already a brand with its people, nature and tea, will become a brand in tourism and other areas of the economy and make its name heard.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that as TOBB, they have always attached great importance to Rize, and said that they first built a primary school, then a Science High School and an Imam Hatip High School, and modernized the Sarp Border Gate which opens Turkey to the Caucasus.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have taken another important decision as TOBB Board of Directors upon the request of the Rizeli Chamber/Commodity Exchange Presidents and gave the good news that they will build 3 new schools in Ardeşen, Çayeli and Pazar.

Stating that he is proud of Rize CCI and CE, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that both of them are accredited, 5-star Chamber-Commodity Exchange and that they offer services to their members at European standards.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that he closely followed the work of the presidents of Rize Chamber / Commodity Exchange, said, “Thanks to our Chamber, Rize built the OIZ and UYUM Center. We opened the Arbitration and Mediation Center at the Rize Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We reach resolution through arbitration and mediation. The agreement rate in 100,000 files is 70 percent. The cost is half of the court costs. We have achieved an auspicious work. Our commodity exchange has launched Rize Tea Research Application Center ÇAYMER, which will increase the brand value of tea. I am also proud to have such diligent, determined, visionary Chamber-Commodity Exchange Presidents.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they work together with all Rizeli Chamber/Commodity Exchange Presidents in Ankara and TOBB at the same time, and said that he benefited from their knowledge and experience.

Stating that those who add value to Rize are awarded, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “What our culture says, ingenuity is a compliment. On this occasion, I am proud of all our entrepreneurs who have contributed to bringing Rize to these places and our Chamber-Exchange, Presidents, board of directors, council members, secretaries general and all employees who represent them in the best way. Our presidents are both carrying out efforts which add value to Rize and bringing your every problem to Ankara and looking for solutions. During the pandemic, they have been interpreters of your troubles. They have collected your problems and suggestions. Together with President Şaban, we conveyed them to the government. We also got results from a significant part of them. A lot of support and arrangements have been implemented.”

Emphasizing that the troubles are not over, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Of course there are problems. We say these things all the time. We strive to provide solutions. In particular, our members have difficulty in accessing finance. In this troubled period, we expect banks to act more constructively. I ask all banks to support us. In addition, our domestic-national car, which was left unfinished in 1960, is coming soon, and the TOGG factory will be finished at the end of this year.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu, who emphasized unity and solidarity, said, “Allah also gives mercy and blessings. As long as we don't alienate each other. Let's not exclude anyone because of their beliefs, their opinions. Let us know that we can overcome every problem with common sense and dialogue. That's when we will move our country forward together.”
