Speaking at the ceremony, Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that forests were badly damaged in last year's fires.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that a reforestation campaign was launched after the fires with the support of the government and the efforts of the citizens, and helping hands reached out from all provinces of Turkey.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they requested sapling contributions on behalf of each person in 365 chambers and exchanges in 81 provinces, 160 districts in line with their decision, and said that more than 31,000 saplings were donated.

Underlining that the rebuilt forests will reinforce the unity of the nation, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We have seen with joy that, as with all national issues, our nation has acted in unity and solidarity.”

After the speeches, 31,000 saplings were planted.
