The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Joint Assembly Meeting of the Sinop Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Boyabat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized via video conference.

Stating that they are in constant consultation with all chambers/exchanges and sector councils as TOBB in the process of combating the epidemic, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Through our Chamber-Commodity Exchange Presidents, we have gathered your troubles and problems every day. Then we talked to the Ministers one-on-one to resolve them. Initially, we presented the government with a 70-point set of proposals. A significant part of this has come to life. Tax and SSI payments in various sectors have been postponed. To reduce our employment costs, the scope of the short work allowance has been expanded, making operations faster. Various loan packages for our companies have been implemented.”

Finally, touching on Breath Credits started with Denizbank, the TOBB President said, “7.5% interest, no payments in 2020, payments starting in 2021. We expect the public banks to participate in this soon.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that every day a new issue and adversity arises, and that it is a dynamic process, asking them to continue to note difficulties and proposals by being in contact with members.
