The Presidents of the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Councils of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) convened with TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu hosting the event.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech here, advised young entrepreneurs to become role models for young people and asked them to tell them about their own achievements.

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they should be effective locally, “Universities have the biggest potential. Universities are a treasure for you. They're all young, they're all worried about what to do in the future. Encourage them to be entrepreneurs. There's at least one university in every province, if there's no entrepreneurship club, you're going to have it built up. If you have any, stay in close contact with them. You need to make them the most active among other clubs.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu also urged them to work in cooperation with academic advisors.

Asking young entrepreneurs to design projects together, “TOBB is the business organization with the most effect on the public administration. It is our duty to contribute to the design of public policies. Everyone in Turkey has discovered entrepreneurship. If entrepreneurship is being talked about in Turkey, the role of TOBB is number one here.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that they’ve begun organizing training seminars for the development of young entrepreneurs, and urged them to participate in these trainings.

Emphasizing that Young Entrepreneur Councils should visit its members, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We cannot be role models from where we sit. We must learn their troubles and ideas by visiting them in the field and listening. You must hold regional meetings.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that there is no shortage of resources, and that there is an abundance of resources if one is acting strategically. Hisarcıklıoğlu touched on the importance of the effective use of social media and local media to promote their work.
