Hisarcıklıoğlu, asked for a solution about working permissions from Macedonian President Ivanov

TOBB President M.Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Macedonia,Skopje in order to attend the 89th Anniversary of the Economic Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia on 18th February 2011.​

 

During his visit Hisarcıklıoğlu and the President of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, had the chance to speak about the TOBB-ETU University where H.E.Ivanov was given a title of honorary PhD in 2009.

 
H.E..Ivanov also mentioned that he will be visiting Turkey in May and that he would be glad to pay a visit to the university in order to give a lecture to the TOBB-ETU students.
 
They had the chance to talk about the Turkish Macedonian relations, while Hisarcıklıoğlu commented on the reforms and developments that Macedonia went through with gladness. Accordingly, to improve the bilateral relations, it was underlined with importance that the free trade agreement contents have to be extended. As a result, both Mr.Ivanov and Mr.Hisarcıklıoğlu agreed that public wealth and stability in the region will be achieved by bilateral trade.  
 
TOBB President Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkish investors believe in the future of Macedonia and emphasized that they implemented successful projects there. He also mentioned that they had difficulties about the work permits, and the solution of the problem is so important in order to carry over our experiences to the Macedon sisters and brothers.
 
It was also stated that, increasing carrying quotas will accelerate the bilateral trade.
 
While it had been mentioned that  two countries have close bonds, President of Macedonia H.E. Dr. Gjorge Ivanov also mentioned that the Turkish TV series are watched with great interest by the Macedonians and especially with these series Macedonian people notice the similarities between the two countries culture and social life.
 
In the meeting, TOBB-DEIK Turkish-Macedonian Business Council activities were explained and the ways of development of cooperation areas between two countries were emphasized.
 
President Ivanov kindly requested a reconstruction and a conversion of a museum for the house of Ali Rıza Efendi, the father of M.Kemal Ataturk, which will be undertaken by TOBB. H.E. also presented the details of the project to the President of TOBB.
 
The President H.E. Dr. Gjorge Ivanov stated that the restoration studies will begin shortly and the opening ceremony of the museum is expected to be held in October 2011 hopefully with the attendance of the President of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Abdullah Gül and TOBB President, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
At the end of the meeting, M.Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presented a gift to the President in memory of Conferral of Honorary Doctorate that was given to him 16 October 2009.

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, attending the meeting as a honoured speaker, came together with the members of Economic Chamber of Macedonia and guests who participated from various Balkan countries.
At the opening section of the ceremony, Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu made a presentation about “Developments in World  Economy and Global Economic Crisis”. He talked to an audiance of 350 people who paid close attention to his speech.
Within the occasion, several rewards were given to the most successfull companies & businessmen of Macedonia that succeed in 2010.
At the end of his speech, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presented a gift to Mr. Branko Azeski, the President of The Economic Chamber of Macedonia.
