The guardians of democratic order, the police department, are the apple of our nation’s eye

Releasing a message regarding the 168th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Police Department, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that police are the fundamental basis of social security and said, “If law and order are to exist, the police are vital to the process. Our police, working diligently and making great sacrifices will always have a special place in the hearts of our people.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message:
“We proudly celebrate the 168th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Police Department, the determined protectors of the democratic order. The police working selflessly against crime and criminals, shielding us with their lives so that we may live in peace.
The Turkish Police Department, established to protect the social order, stands strong against those without conscience.
Using the power granted to it by law within the framework of the law successfully for 168 years and winning over the trust of the people, it swells our chests that our police are conducting their operations equipped with the innovations of the age and technology.
We solemnly remember those martyrs who sacrificed their lives against those, within and without our borders, who would destroy the Republic of Turkey and divide its nation. I wish for a healthy life to the loved ones of the martyrs and the heroic veterans with their families.
On behalf of the Turkish business community, I present my love and respect to the Turkish Police Department working for the safety and happiness of our people and congratulate them on the 168th anniversary of their establishment.”
