M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, participated in the General Assembly of GTİ AŞ. Saying that the United Nations showed GTİ A.Ş.’s structure and activities as an example to the whole world, Hisarcıkloğlu told that the modernized customs houses were equipped with the state-of-the-art technological infrastructure.


The General Assembly of Gümrük ve Turizm İşletmeleri Ticaret (GTİ) AŞ was held at the Central Social Facilities of TOBB. Delivering a speech at the meeting, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, pointed out that both the state and the business world who use the customs were on the winning side with the GTİ AŞ project, and said, “Everybody is on the winning side in this project. The State did not spend any money, rather obtained a tax income of TL 215 million.  Waiting periods are shortened, and the Turkish private sector saved 400 million TL a year.”

Stating that they modernized 6 customs gates until now, Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, said, “We are dealing with other gates.  We are moving Halkalı to Muratbey.  Çıldır-Aktaş, Dilucu, Esendere and Kapıköy gates are in the queue.”
