Britain will facilitate visa processes for businessmen

The British Ambassador to Turkey, David Reddaway and Former Foreign Affairs Minister Yaşar Yakış visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu to discuss methods of increasing financial and economic affairs between Britain and Turkey.​

During the meeting, Ambassador Reddaway provided information regarding the new decisions and investment incentives put in place by the British government. Stating that there would be facilitations to visa procedures for businessmen, Reddaway said that this would positively impact trade.

- Turk-British Business Council working actively

Stating that he had engaged in high level meetings in Britain during 2011, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the Turk-British Business Council, a part of DEİK, is working actively.

During the meeting former Foreign Affairs Minister Yaşar Yakış provided information regarding the Turkish-English Language Forum to be held for the third time, this year in Edinburgh, and emphasized the importance of TOBB attendance to this event.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, in regards to Yakış’s statement, said that the said event would be relayed to TOBB’s network.

Also during the meeting, TEPAV Director Güven Sak provided information regarding the Modern Turk Studies Course of the London School of Economics.
