During Hisarcıklıoğlu’s visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çamsarı and Deputy Rectors Prof. Dr. Hakan Arslan, Prof. Dr. Ali Kaya, Prof. Dr. Mehmet İsmail Yağcı, Dean of Medicine Prof. Dr. Ahmet İlvan, Healthcare Research and Practice Hospital Chief of Staff Prof. Dr. Meltem Nass Duce, Secretary General Vedat Güngör and School of Medicine academics were present. Offering support of 4.5 million TL for the new 638 capacity hospital inpatient building built at the Çiftlikköy Campus, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu met with school administrators at the TOBB Inpatient Building. Hisarcıklıoğlu was accompanied by Mersin Commodity Exchange Chairman Abdullah Özdemir, Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO) Chair Şerafettin Aşut, Mersin Maritime Chamber of Commerce (MDTO) Chair Cihat Lokmanoğlu and Commodity Exchange Chairs of Adana, Nevşehir and Trabzon. Rector Prof. Dr. Çamsarı presented Hisarcıklıoğlu with a white doctor’s coat and stethoscope. Çamsarı, Hisarcıklıoğlu and those present toured the inpatient building and visited patients. The delegation held a meeting at the hospital’s meeting hall.

Rector Prof. Dr. Çamsarı gave a brief on the hospital since its opening 6 months ago, its needs and projects for the future.

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu thanked Rector Prof. Dr. Çamsarı for his hospitality and stated that it is a source of joy to be able to support such a modern health institution. Hisarcıklıoğlu thanked Mersin Commodity Exchange Chair Abdullah Özdemir, MTSO Chair Şerafettin Aşut and MDTO Chair Cihat Lokmanoğlu for their support in addressing the needs of the hospital.

Following his visit, Hisarcıklıoğlu presented copies of the Book of Dede Korkut identical to the originals in Dresden and the Vatican to Rector Prof. Dr. Çamsarı and Healthcare Research and Practice Hospital Chief of Staff Prof. Dr. Meltem Nass Duce.
