Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the B20 Coalition Meeting

Attending the B20 Coalition Meeting, B20 Turkey and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with B20 Board Members, said, “We are facing problems we haven’t encountered before in the global economy. We are discussing a time when an abundance of money will no longer be the case. We are in a time when unemployment has reached 40% in some countries; a time when economic inequality deepens.”
Stating that global problems require global solutions, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the importance of the G20 to this end.
Stating that they will work to strengthen B20, the business wing of the G20, during Turkey’s term, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “At this point, it is our wish to be working in close cooperation with the B20.”
Stressing that they are bringing a new approach to B20, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We will hold more meetings than ever before throughout the year. Regional consultation meetings to be held in regions which are sorely underrepresented in the G20 and will work to include them into the G20 process. We will work diligently to provide global solutions to global problems.”
B20 Turkey Sherpa Sarp Kalkan also provided a presentation on the annual itinerary.
