The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the “Contributors to Akçakoca Awards Ceremony” held by the Akçakoca Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​

 

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that Akçakoca is an important touristic city, said, “Tourism means money.”

Relating his trip to Turkmenistan on the invitation of the Turkmen President, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the tenders won by Turkish contractors in the last 10 months have reached a volume of 4.1 billion USD, a record for Turkmenistan.

Expressing his grief for the primary school built by TOBB in Van being set on fire, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu condemned those who perpetrated this heinous act and those who condone this manner of behavior.

Stating that they will continue to contribute to education as TOBB, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that they have contributed a total of 75 million TL to date.

Saying that there are very important changes made to the new Turkish Trade Law, the TOBB President stated that this was the best answer to the question of just what chambers do.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu underlined the importance of partnership culture as well, “If you want to earn more, you must pay heed to partnership culture,” and emphasized the importance of putting it into practice.

Following the speeches, awards were given to the members who paid the most in taxes between the years of 2008-2011.

Prior to the award ceremony, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu also visited the Akçakoca Municipality Director, Fikret Albayrak.
