TOBB remembers Necip Fazıl on the 30th anniversary of his passing with “The Light Which Descends Upon the Desert”

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) published a prestige edition of “The Light Which Descends Upon the Desert” to commemorate one of the great names in Turkish literary and philosophical world, Necip Fazıl Kısakürek on the 30th anniversary of his passing.​

The book, distributed at the Awards Ceremony for the Essay Competition on the “Great Eastern Thought and the Characteristics of the Ideal Turkish Youth in the Works of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek” organized in cooperation by the Union Association Ankara Branch and the National Education Ankara Province Directorate and attended by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, also made a tremendous impression on the cultural community.

 

Speaking about Necip Fazıl and the ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I would like to thank everyone who contributed to creating this occasion on the 30th anniversary of the passing of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, one of the great Turkish thinkers.

 

I was fortunate enough to meet and listen to the conversation of Necip Fazıl in the 90’s and I am grateful to be able to do something in his dear memory.”

 

In his conversation with students, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I would like you to know that as long as the world exists and we live together with all of these beautiful people in our beautiful homeland, Necip Fazıl and great people like him will have made a contribution to that happiness with their efforts.

 

“The Light Which Descends Upon the Desert” will inspire you and give you joy for life. When you are down and your heart is darkened and the hardships of life afflict you, read this book. Each time you read it at various points in your life, you will discover new things and you will love the most precious person of this world, our prophet more and more with each passing day. You will love him through understanding him from the heart.”
