Reminding that the Holiday of Sacrifice and the October 29th Republic Day will be following each other this year, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the joy which will result from the solidarity of enjoying both holidays as one heart.

In his message Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "May holidays, during which our national unity is felt most tangibly, be an example for the rest of our lives.

Let us lose none of the love and respect we experience during holidays throughout the rest of our lives."
Hisarcıklıoğlu went on to say:

"We are on the precipice of joyous days in which we will experience the holy period of the Holiday of Sacrifice, during which solidarity and cooperation are at their utmost, followed by one of the most important days for our Republic, the 89th anniversary of its foundation.

The Holiday of Sacrifice, in essence, is the day when Muslims embrace each other. As happiness grows when it is shared, so does sorrow dwindle.

Holidays are when those more fortunate than others come together in solidarity with those less fortunate; when no one is forgotten; days when arguments are put aside.

We believe that if we can bring joy to the heart of one person,
we will bring joy happiness into our own hearts.

On the anniversary of the foundation of the Republic, founded by repelling a vicious invasion with a heart filled with love and grace, with a heart full of courage, the Veteran Mustafa Kemal and his brothers in arms, we remember those heroes who sacrificed their lives with gratitude and respect.

It is with these thoughts and feelings that I, on behalf of the Turkish business community, celebrate the Holiday of Sacrifice of the Islamic world and the Republic Day of our great nation and heartily pray that they bring us beneficence."
