Council President Mahmet Kutlucan presided over the meeting attended by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, GTİ Co Inc Board President Arif Parmaksız, GTİ Co Inc Board Deputy President Bülent Koşmaz, GTİ Co Inc Board Members Salih Bezci, Erhan Erken, İsmail Hakkı Dokuzlu and GTİ Co Inc partners.

In his speech, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they are holding this meeting in order to make the changes necessitated by the new Turkish Trade Law.

Stating that they have come to an agreement with the Customs and Commerce Ministry in regards to the construction of four customs gates under the construct-operate-transfer model, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the Esendere, Kapıköy, Dilucu and Çıldır-Aktaş customs gates will be modernized by GTİ Co Inc.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they will transfer the domestic customs administration previously in Halkalı to Muratbey.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Halkalı Customs Administration, one of the main arteries of our trade, will provide its services from a new modernized facility. What will this modernization bring? This will end the hassle by lowering wait times and the rapid completion of procedures. The premises has been designed to house depots and warehouses for international shipping and a logistics village. This will be a model domestic customs.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the customs gates they plan on having operational within the year, Esendere, Kapıköy, Dilucu and Çıldır-Aktaş, will also provide great contributions of the provinces of the region.

As a result of the election during the General Assembly Arif Parmaksız was once again elected to the GTİ Co Inc Board Presidency while Bülent Koşmaz, Salih Bezci, Erhan Erken and İsmail Hakkı Dokuzlu were re-elected to the Board of Directors.
