Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the ICC brings together the domestic chambers of 126 countries, acting as the umbrella organization of the trade world. Stating that ICC is the highest high level businessmen organization recognized by the UN, OECD and G20, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they were invited to take part in the ICC board as TOBB in June.

The TOBB President reported that issues affecting the business world such as the decisions made at the World Trade Organizations.

Stating that they have also met their Chinese counterparts, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that just one of the investors have imported an amount totaling to 1 billion Dollars.

- “China should be viewed in regards to exports”

Pointing out the importance of viewing China in regards to exports, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Turkish investors and entrepreneurs have missed out on this opportunity to date.

Stating that China is viewed as a country where goods can be imported from due to low cost, catching up in terms of technology and that this is an opportunity terms of investments.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “There is a great consumer market in China,” stating that it will become the world’s largest economy between 2017 and 2020, Hisarcıklıoğlu also stated that China is now the world’s second largest exporter.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, saying that China will become the largest exporting country in 2017, stated that Turkey has been too long out of this market and that China holds great opportunities in the future.

Stating that a population of 300 million in China earn and spend more than the whole of Europe, TOBB President assessed this as “a great opportunity” for Turkey.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said that when you consider Europe with its population of 400 million, there are 600 million more people who spend and earn more in China and India combined.

Stating that Turkey should prefer Asia and Far Eastern markets, mainly China, due to the crisis and shrinking market in Europe, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that in this regard, this visit is an important opportunity to get to know the market and conditions.
