Sweden’s Ambassador to Ankara, Hakan Akesson made a courtesy visit to TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu prior to President Abdullah Gül’s official visit to Sweden between 10-12 November, 2012.​

During the visit, ideas were exchanged regarding the Sweden schedule of the private sector delegation which will accompany the state visit.

Drawing attention to the fact that Turkey-Sweden political relations have been gaining momentum just as the economic relations, the guest ambassador stated that the visit which will take place in November will contribute greatly to the further development of commercial ties between the two countries.
