In Kayseri for various meetings, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with TOBB Board members, stated that achieving the same growth figures as last year seems difficult this year.

Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB Board of Directors held a board meeting in Kayseri hosted by Mustafa Boydak. Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Board visited the Kayseri Governor, Mevlüt Bilici. Stating the importance of unity and solidarity for Kayseri’s growth and development and that the governor, municipality director and other prominent figures of a city contribute greatly as well, Hisarcıklıoğlu said Kayseri is a role model in this sense and that they tell of its success everywhere they go.

Stating that achieving the growth figures of last year seems difficult, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The economy is cooling. We want to be one of the three fastest growing countries with 8.5% growth every year, just like last year. However, it seems difficult to achieve these figures this year. The economy is cooling.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu presented Governor Bilici with a copy of “Safahat” containing the unreleased poetry of Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Bilici presented Hisarcıklıoğlu with a commemorative plaque.

Afterwards, Hisarcıklıoğlu and the board members accompanying him visited the Municipality Director, Mehmet Özhaseki. The TOBB delegation continued their visits with the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce, Kayseri Chamber of Industry and the Kayseri Commodity Exchange.
