GTİ has become a role model

Customs and Tourism Enterprises Co Inc (GTİ) 2011 Ordinary General Assembly was held at the TOBB Union Center Social Facilities with the attendance of the TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that GTİ, with its successes and projects, has become a role model not just in Turkey but throughout the world.
GTİ’s Ordinary General Assembly held under the Council President Hüsnü Ünal was attended by the TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, GTİ Board President Arif Parmaksız, Konya Assembly Representative Hüseyin Üzülmez and GTİ’s partners.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that, in our culture, there is a very beautiful saying that states unity and solidarity brings grace and prosperity and that the structuring of GTİ is the best example of this. Stating that GTİ is an extraordinary success story, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the customs gates modernizations have halved the wait times at customs, greatly benefiting the private sector. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that there has been no cost to the government during the modernizations of the customs gates, quite the opposite, tax income has increased.
Stating that to this day, 6 customs gates have been modernized, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that with the newly signed protocol, the modernization of 5 more customs gates will commence. The TOBB President stated that the modernization of these customs gates in East Anatolia would contribute greatly to the development of these provinces.
GTİ Board President Arif Parmaksız stated that they are more and more gaining an institutional structure and that they have established the Quality Management Center. Hüsnü Ünal, elected to Council Presidency during the General Assembly called for unity and stated that TOBB has a global vision.
