“How to Keep Up with the Green Transformation” Webinar for Travel Agencies, Civil Aviation and Transportation and Logistics Sectors

The "How to Keep Up with the Green Transformation" webinar, organized in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Horizon Consulting, was carried out with the strong participation of non-governmental organizations and industry representatives in the civil aviation, transportation and logistics sectors.​

During the webinar, Ali Bilir, Vice President of TOBB Turkey Council of Travel Agents, Teoman Tosun, President of TOBB Turkey Civil Aviation Council, Turgut Erkeskin, Vice President of the Transport and Logistics Council, informed the participants about how the issue will affect their sectors and what can be done.

Ali Bilir stated that the tourism sector has been informed about the necessary preparations during the season in order to achieve the Green Deal goals and that necessary steps should be taken quickly.

Teoman Tosun stressed that the civil aviation industry is very excited about the green transformation of zero emission aircraft ready for the market in 2035.

Horizon Consulting Co-Founder Eser Erginoğlu discussed questions such as how to keep up with the green transformation, what brings carbon regulation at the border, what is Fit For 55, what are the threats and opportunities for Turkish exporters in terms of travel agencies, civil aviation, transportation and logistics sectors.

The Chief Engineer of the Turkish Standards Institute, Berna Bildik, who attended the meeting, informed the participants about the Green Deal Action Plan and the work carried out by TSE.

Berna Bildik stated that the main goal is to be more sustainable by reducing emissions, noting that this issue is the most important challenge facing the transportation sector. It was stated that the best emissions trading system in the world is currently in China.
