Turkey Oil and Petroleum Products Industry Council consults on new regulations

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Oil and Petroleum Products Industry Council convened via video conference under the chairmanship of Council President Ahmet Erdem with the participation of TOBB Board Member Engin Yeşil.​

At the meeting where consultations were held on the EPDK Decision on the Authorization of Legal Entities for the Establishment and Implementation of the Dealer Audit System, the camera and sealing obligation was said to cause concern due to camera-related glitches in the sector. Regarding the camera requirement, a roadmap is needed on the use of cameras; how to execute the condition and where responsibility begins and ends.

It was informed that the Ministry of Commerce has established a commission for the fuel sector with the relevant organizations and explained that warehouse and tank-based monitoring in Distribution Companies can be difficult in operational terms. It was stated that the guidance for the Next Generation Payment Recorder Devices was published and the transition process was determined and it was stated that it is intended to make an active contribution as a Council in the processes carried out by the Directorate of Revenue Administration.

In order to move the collateral for small-scale dealers to a more feasible point, it was decided to start a study within the Legislative Committee with the relevant representatives within the Council. It was added that diesel and gasoline fillings can cause confusion in warehouse covers in the field and measures should be taken to ensure distinctions.
