Zeki Kıvanç attended the opening of “35th Occupational Health and Safety Week”

TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç attended the opening of the “35th Occupational Health and Safety Week,” which started on May 4, 2021 with the participation of Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Bilgin, Ministry bureaucrats, presidents and managers of labor and employer organizations and academicians.​

Zeki Kıvanç gave a speech at the opening of the events in the “Effective Cooperation in Occupational Health and Safety in the Pandemic Process” program organized online.

In his speech, Kıvanç congratulated Bilgin on his new role, thanking the managers and staff of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Turkish Business Association and the Social Security Institution, which provided effective services during the pandemic.

Stating that occupational accidents and occupational diseases are one of the most important problems of working life not only in Turkey but also globally, Kıvanç stated that employers sincerely want them to be reduced to the lowest possible level. Kıvanç stated that it is not possible to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases with the regulation and sanctions, and that the culture of safety should be internalized.
