At the meeting held with the participation of senior representatives of private sector and non-governmental organizations, System Textile Industry LLC Chairman Åžeref Fayat was elected Council President whilechairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Laleli Industrialists and Businesspeople (LASIAD) was reelected as Council Vice President.

Council President Şeref Fayat and Council Vice President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, who spoke following the election vote, offered their thanks to the Council Members for their confidence and said they would work to further the sector and solve the problems under the TOBB framework in the coming period. They said that during the difficult period, they will be leaning on what needs to be done in order for the sector to continue its activities without problems.

TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç informed the Council Members about the work carried out on behalf of the sector and the economic measures taken as TOBB during the pandemic. Kıvanç stated that they are always there to solve the problems of the sector as TOBB, and conveyed that they are following up on the process one-on-one with the public administration.

At the meeting, Council members made assessments of the repercussions of the pandemic on the sector and the state of the sector.
