At the event, the panel discussion titled “The Future of Tachographs and New Technologies” addressed the impact of artificial intelligence, 5G, blockchain, and advanced sensor technologies on tachograph systems. In the session, where TOBB Digital Tachograph Manager Öznur Yılmaz was a speaker, it was emphasized that the spread of smart tachograph technology to AETR countries outside the EU could create more harmonized and effective control systems in cross-border transportation.
In addition, the importance of obtaining the opinions of implementing countries and involving them early in the technical preparation process before such regulations are implemented was highlighted.
In addition, during the session titled “The Role of Buses in Future Tourism Concepts,” Emre Ak, representative of the TOBB Road Passenger Transport Sector Council, stated that bus travel offers an individual and multidimensional travel experience that goes beyond traditional public transportation, enriched by digitalization as well as sensory and cognitive experiences.
TOBB’s participation in this event once again highlighted the importance of innovations in transportation technologies and experience-oriented approaches in tourism.
