Türkiye Energy Council Meeting

The meeting of the Energy Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) was held via video conference under the chairmanship of Zeki Konukoğlu, Chairman of the Council, with the participation of Zeki Kıvanç, Member of the Board of Directors of TOBB.
In his opening speech, Zeki Kıvanç emphasized the importance of energy supply security and resource diversity, and expressed his views on sustainable and accessible energy resources.
Cem Aşık, Vice President of the Council, and Kemal Uslu, Advisor to the Council, informed the Council Members about the electricity market developments in the first four months of 2025.
Committee Chairs who took the floor provided information in regards to the agenda: Tamer Çalışır; increased independent costs, super permit mechanism, infrastructure and investment environment, Bilal Tuğrul Kaya; Emission Trading System, opinions and expectations about the Market Clearing Price, Fakir Hüseyin Erdoğan; 2035 renewable and 2053 net zero targets within the scope of the changes that may occur in the sector informed the Council Members.
The meeting ended with suggestions and wishes after the consultations of the Council Members regarding the sector.
