If we want democracy, we need to stop informal economy

In “Tax Record-Breakers, Successful Exporters and Businessmen with Highest Official Registration“ award ceremony that was organized in Adana, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that as long as there is informal economy, people will have problems expressing their rights and wants, and added “If we want democracy, we need to stop informal economy.” ​ ​

The golden rule is produce according to a certain standard

Extraordinary General Assembly in Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu designated the necessity of standart in industry and commerce in his speech. He said, If there are "Japan's technology, German engineering, China's cheap labor, Turkey have entrepreneur. You must look after to your entrepreneur. He said, person who make rich this country are the entrepreneurs.

TOBB’s Support to healing the wounds of Bosnia

Kosevo Hospital Spinal Cord Center which will remedy  people who became disabled after the war was opened with a ceremony. The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) made a 900.000 euro donation for the hospital. The President of TOBB M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu expressed that after mournful and difficult days, children who have a problem with their spine and vertebral column were not treated. He also said that, “this hospital will train the best orthopaedists in the region.” ​ ​

H.E. Ambassador Aylin Taşhan, who is appointed as the ambassador of Turkey in Mozambique, paid a visit to the President of TOBB, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu

Aylin Taşhan, who is assigned to Embassy of Mozambique, visited M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey at TOBB headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.​ ​

European Movement International (EMI) ISTANBUL Congress / 11 – 12 February 2011

European Movement International (EMI) is established in 1948 and since then working on the relations between civil society organisations and public authorities, especially in the countries neighboring the European Union and on its dialogue with the respective public authorities. In this context the EMI has launched a discourse with Civil Society Organisations through two founding congresses:  Algiers in 2006 for the Maghreb countries and Egypt; Ljubljana in 2009 for the Western Balkan countries and Turkey.  ​ ​
