Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, following the coup attempt, stated that the credit rating institution Moody’s which has expressed that it will review Turkey’s credit note, has always been wrong about the Turkish economy’s potency.​

Speaking with NTV, CNN Turk and Habertürk, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu vehemently condemned the coup attempt.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with the members of the EU JCC, visited The Grand National Assembly following the coup attempt, watched the General Assembly meeting and extended their condolences to the parties.​

TOBB, Türk-İş, Hak-İş, TESK, Memur-Sen and TİSK chairpersons and representatives condemned the coup attempt during a joint press conference.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu along with the Turkey – EU Joint Arbitration Committee (JAC) members visited European Union Minister and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the delegation accompanying him visited Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım to congratulate him on his appointment, conveying to him the problems faced by the Turkish economy and demands of the Turkish business community.​

The healthcare sector was discussed during the seminar held in cooperation by TOBB and the US Chamber of Commerce at the TOBB Twin Towers. Speaking at the seminar attended by Health Minister Recep Akdağ and the representatives of the healthcare sectors of both countries, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that a roadmap would be drawn in regards to the issues which need to be discussed with company and the public sector representatives.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the KOSGEB Executive Committee meeting held at the Science, Industry and Technology Ministry presided over by Minister Dr. Faruk Özlü to address the issue of credit support for domestic machinery and equipment for establishments in the production industry.​
