Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Beverage Industry Council convened via video conference with the participation of TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay and chaired by Ozan Diren, Beverage Industry Council President.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Council, chaired by Council President Gökhan Tezel with the participation of TOBB Board Member Engin Yeşil, met via video conference to discuss the current problems of the sector.​

The webinar titled “How to Keep Up with The Green Transformation” was held with the participation of TOBB Casting Industry Council, TOBB Turkey Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Council members and companies belonging to these sectors from our chambers.​

In the first 8 months of 2021, the number of Domestic Goods Certificates approved increased by 6.6% compared to the same period last year. According to the Domestic Goods Communiqué (SGM 2014/35), prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in accordance with Article 63 of the Public Procurement Law No. 4734 and published in the Official Gazette dated September 13, 2014 and numbered 29118, 1204 Domestic Goods Certificates were approved by TOBB in August 2021.​

TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council Meeting was held online under the chaired by Nurten Öztürk, President of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) TIR Committee met via video conference on September 3rd, 2021.​

Earthquake-Disaster Workgroup convened. In the meeting where the activities of chamber-exchanges were explained in recent fire and flood disasters, the efforts carried out by TOBB to support disaster resilience and business continuity were summarized.​

Accreditation Officer Training Program, which started with 10 pilot Accredited Chambers/Exchanges selected within the scope of Chamber/Exchange Accreditation System studies, 2nd Module trainings continued with Member Relations, Improvement and Comparison Training.​

The fifth of the Venture Capital Anatolia Meetings organized by the Turkish Venture Capital Council, which operates within the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), was held in Şanlıurfa on September 02, 2021 hosted by the Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Şanlıurfa Commodity Exchange.​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in August 2021 increased by 36.5% (1,229 units) to 4,599 units compared to August 2020 (3,370 units). The number of capacity reports approved in the first 8 months of 2021 (32,987 units) increased by 19.5% (5,373 units) compared to the first 8 months of 2020 (27,614). ​
