Number of industrial capacity reports approved in August 2021 increased by 36.5%

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in August 2021 increased by 36.5% (1,229 units) to 4,599 units compared to August 2020 (3,370 units). The number of capacity reports approved in the first 8 months of 2021 (32,987 units) increased by 19.5% (5,373 units) compared to the first 8 months of 2020 (27,614). ​
Of the 4,599 capacity reports approved in August, 1,295 were in Ä°stanbul, 349 were in Ankara, 302 in Ä°zmir, 288 in Bursa, 174 in Konya, 169 in Gaziantep, 167 in Kocaeli, 106 in TekirdaÄŸ, 95 in Manisa and 92 in Kayseri.
The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database increased by 9% (6,868 units) to 83,292 units in August 2021 from 76,424 in August 2020.
According to the Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased by 7.7% (247,870 units) from 3,217,817 in August 2020 to 3,465,687 in August 2021.
Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
