Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Numan Kurtulmuş

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the AK Party Vice President Numan Kurtulmuş. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the visit was to congratulate Kurtulmuş for his new appointment as well as to convey his condolences for the passing of Kurtulmuş’s brother-in-law, Muhittin Cantürk, in a traffic accident.​ ​

Forty-one chambers and commodity exchanges have paired up with EU country chambers

Speaking at the meeting for the EU-Turkey Chambers Forum II Project (ETCF-II), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that various pairings have been made between Turkish and EU member country chambers have been made and went on, “Forty-one of our chambers and commodity exchanges from Turkey have been paired with 34 chambers from EU member countries. The pairing project has spread to every region of Turkey.”​ ​

The British Ambassador to Turkey, David Reddaway and Former Foreign Affairs Minister Yaşar Yakış visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu to discuss methods of increasing financial and economic affairs between Britain and Turkey.​ ​

The Constitutional Court’s decision will not lessen competition in the chamber and Exchange elections; it will increase it

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The Constitutional Court’s decision will not lessen competition in the chamber and Exchange elections; it will increase it.” The Constitutional Court has removed the clause which prohibits reelection to an office after the second consecutive term without a break of two years.​ ​

Speaking at the training seminar for chamber and exchange secretary generals, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Where I come from they say to look to the essence and not the fame of a business. You are the ones working with the essence of the business. When you succeed, so do we.”​ ​

TOBB will construct the Çankırı Science High School

TOBB will construct a 24 classroom Science High School Building and a Student Dormitory with a capacity of 300 in Çankırı. During the signing of the agreement, Çankırı Municipality Director İrfan Dinç, in accordance with the decision of the Municipality Council, presented TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu with a honorary resident certificate. Expressing that the certificate has come as a surprise, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This is a great honor for me.”​ ​
