After attending the “Prevent Bread Wastage Campaign” meeting organized by the Turkey Grain Board (TMO) at the TOBB Twin Towers, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
Hisarcıklıoğlu presented Prime Minister Erdoğan with a Trade Registry Gazette from 1981, the year Erdoğan started trade, as a souvenir. A Kayseri dish was selected for lunch.
Attending the lunch hosted by Hisarcıklıoğlu in addition to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı, Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Mehdi Eker, Family and Social Policies Minister Fatma Şahin, National Education Minister Ömer Dinçer, Environment and Urbanism Minister Erdoğan Bayraktar, Religious Affairs Directorate President Mehmet Görmez, TOBB Board Vice President Faik Yavuz, TOBB Board Member Mustafa Yardımcı, Ankara Municipality Director Melih Gökçek and Kayseri Chamber of Commerce President M. Asaf Mehmetbeyoğlu.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during his speech at the ceremony held at the TOBB Twin Towers, emphasized the benefits of the success of the “Prevent Bread Wastage Campaign” for everyone, rich and poor. Prime Minister Erdoğan said, “One of the main staples of our people, whether they are rich or poor, is bread.”
“We are members of a culture which respects bread as a boon, a higher value,” said Erdoğan and stated that bread is a symbol of effort, sharing and abundance.
