Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Speaking at the KAYSO 2015 Industry Night, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that increasing minimum wage to 1,300 TRY would collective cost companies 26 billion TRY and that this would cause them to lose their competitive power if these costs are put on the employer.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited TBMM İstanbul Representative and Constitution Commission Chair Mustafa Şentop at his office and congratulated him on his appointment. ​

Speaking at the meeting of the D-8 countries’ chambers of commerce and industry, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We must lead the way in regards to issues such as the Preferential Trade Agreement, Joint Arbitration, Visas, development of trade corridors as high-capacity countries. Increasing our intragroup trade and economic relations will also provide a boost to Islamic countries.”​

During the Economic Cooperation organization Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECO CCI) 20th Executive Council Meeting, emphasis was put on increasing cooperation between countries, eliminating restrictions to trade such as visas, strengthening infrastructure through modernizing border customs. A call was made to sign the ECOTA Agreement which aims to facilitate trade.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the 11th Labor Council Meeting held at the Ankara JW Marriot and attended by PM Ahmet Davutoğlu.​

During his speech at the business dinner held at the TOBB Twin Towers prior to the Economic Cooperation organization Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EİT TSO) 20th Executive Council Meeting and 14th General Assembly, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the need for the region’s countries to increase cooperation and remove restrictions on trade.​

Speaking at the Chambers of Commerce Council Meeting, the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the US economy is recovering, “We considered this good news for the global economy. However, that has brought on problems of its own. We used to consider if FED might raise interest rates, whereas now we are trying to figure out how many times it will increase them in 2016.”​

Lead by Hisarcıklıoğlu, the Turkey – EU Joint Arbitration Committee (JAC) delegation visited Mahmut Arslan who was reelected as Hak-İş Chairman at his office. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they have in cooperation with Hak-İş and said, “I would like to thank the Chairman for Hak-İş’ contributions to social accord and dialogue under his leadership. We are overjoyed to be working together again.”​
