TOBB’s customs gate modernization project, hailed as best-in-practice by the UN, has mobilized to improve trade in Van and its environs. The foundation has been laid for the modernization of the Van Kapıköy Customs Gate. The project will be undertaken by TOBB and the Customs and Commerce Ministry and will aim to expand the trade volume of the region. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that this investment is the most important step in actualizing Van and its region’s year of 46 years.​

In Van to attend the foundation laying ceremony of the Kapıköy Border Gate in Saray, Van, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his condolences for the bomb attack perpetrated by PKK in the İpekyolu County.​

In a message regarding the violent terror attack which caused many civilian deaths in Gaziantep, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he vehemently condemns this inhumane attack.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with Uşak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chair Suat Selim Kandemir and the Board Members accompanying him, visited Customs and Commerce Ministry Minister Bülent Tüfenkci.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Culture and Tourism Minister Nabi Avcı at the business dinner held at TOBB.​

Biga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board Chair Şadan Doğan and the delegation accompanying him visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the meeting held by Development Minister Lütfi Elvan with Turkish and Romanian businesspeople in Bucharest, Romania.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the delegation accompanying him visited Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Secretary General Ambassador Halil İbrahim Akça.​

Chief of Staff of the President of Iran Mohammad Nahavandian received TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the TOBB delegation accompanying him. Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed Turkey’s desire to contribute to Iran’s development during the meeting, especially infrastructure projects; he stated that with wish to develop projects with Iran’s institutions via TOBB-TEPAV.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Economic Cooperation Organization Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ECO CCI) 21st Executive Council meeting. Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech that the Turkish economy has overcome its most difficult test to date, coming out stronger following the coup attempt.​
