In his press release for the May 19th Atatürk Memorial, Youth and Sports Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that May 19th 1919 is a very significant day on which the seeds of resistance against the invading forces of foreign powers, said, “Our Republic and independence, is a charge from Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to our youth. They will carry us on to the level of advanced civilizations. I celebrate this important day of our great nation, which never compromised its honor or independence during its existence.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received Ordu Commodity Exchange Board Chair Ziver Kahraman, Council Chair Yılmaz Akdeniz and the delegation accompanying them.​

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu received the Turkey – EU Joint Consultative Committee members.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, during his speech at the 55th General Assembly of the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), stated that the TSE is one of Turkey’s most important institutions for the private sector.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu replied to allegations made by CHP İstanbul Parliamentary Representative Gürsel Tekin in a newspaper today.​

Meeting with the Turkish speaking business people from various countries, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We business people are the guarantee of world peace,” pointing out that commerce contributes to resolving many social issues as well as increasing prosperity.​

Speaking at the 72nd General Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that true prosperity is an enterprising spirit, “If we want to achieve our goals; if we do not want to be left behind, we must work harder than we’ve worked before.” Emphasizing the importance of unity and solidarity, the TOBB President’s message was that Turkey belongs to us all.​

The “72nd General Assembly Service Honor and Plaque Ceremony” was held to honor the delegates of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) who served for 10, 20 and 33 years was hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the TOBB Conference Hall with the attendance of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), on the occasion of its 72nd Annual General Assembly, visited Anıtkabir to stand in the presence of Atatürk; a delegation led by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and comprised of the TOBB General Assembly Chair, TOBB Board, Councils, chamber and exchange presidents as well as various delegates.​​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the American-Turkish Council (ATC) Chairman General James Logan Jones and CEO Howard Beasey.​
