Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The TOBB Turkish Education Council held its first meeting in 2016-17 with the participation of high-level representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations at the TOBB Twin Towers presided by the Council Chair Yusuf Ekinci.​

Vocational Education and Employment Mobilization (MEİS) meeting was held in Bilecik. As a part of the protocol, the meeting held at the Bilecik Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the attendances of the Chairman of the Board Buğra Levent, Council Speaker Mehmet Doğan Tunç, Vice Chair Hakan Bakıcı, Vice Chair Veli Çelik, Secretary General Bedri Öztürk of the Bozüyük Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bilecik Labor and Employment Agency Provincial Director Ayhan Tozan, Branch Manager Cemal Yiğit, Bilecik Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Mefail Ateş, Council Speaker Aynur, Council Deputy Speaker Turan Ağdağ, Board Member İlhan Karaçayır, Council Member Yüksel Gökçedağ and Deputy Secretary General Nahit Menteşe.​

The number of newly established companies, cooperatives and sole proprietorships decreased by %17,15, 33,87% and 18,13% respectively, according to the previous month.​

TOBB Board Member Şahin Bilgiç participated in the “The Importance of Standardization in Economic and Commercial Life” panel as a part of the “World Standards Day” hosted by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE). ​

The TOBB 9th term rooms and stock exchanges, which are accredited, came together in Muğla.​

A meeting in regards to "Vocational Education and Employment Mobilization Protocol" signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the General Directorate of Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) and the Turkish Chambers and Bourses Association (TOBB) was held by Çanakkale Commodity Exchange and Çanakkale Labor and Employment Institution Provincial Directorate.​

As a part of the Vocational Education and Employment Mobilization, a workgroup meeting was held hosted by Tarsus Commodity Exchange.​

The first Workgroup Meeting of the Vocational Training and Employment Mobilization was held with the participation of the representatives of Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce, Eskişehir Chamber of Industry, Eskişehir Commodity Exchange and İŞKUR.​

The first meeting of the new term for the Turkish Capital Markets Council was presided over by Council Chair Himmet Karadağ with participation of high level representatives of the public, private sector and non-governmental organizations at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.​

TOBB and the US Chamber of Commerce held a meeting in Washington D.C. with the participation of Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci as well as representatives of US companies such as, Apple, Ford, Dow, PhrMA, Cargill, Abbvie, Boston Scientific, Brambles, DHL and UPS.​
