The entrepreneur’s problem is the lack of profit

Speaking at the TİMFED Summit, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that low profit margins are one of the most significant problems faced by entrepreneurs. Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that total company profit for 2013 was 68 billion TRY, no increase from 2012, “On the contrary, there was a decrease of 30%. This is the gist of the problems faced by our entrepreneurs; the turnover of companies is increasing while the profit decreases.”​

Lithuanian Ambassador Kudzmanas visited Hisarcıklıoğlu

Lithuanian Ambassador Kestutis Kudzmanas visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office. Ambassador Kudzmanas pointed out the progress made between Turkey and Lithuania in the last 10 years.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu’s emphasis on structural reform at the ABC General Assembly

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the 2nd for 2014 General Assembly of the Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC) in Athens. Speaking at the meeting attended by ABC member chamber presidents, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the need to continue focusing on structural reforms in the Balkans and stated that these reforms must cover education, healthcare, employment policy, public spending and efficiency.​

TOBB Board’s commemorative sycamore

TOBB Board of Directors have maintained their tradition of planting sycamore trees, the new members – Çamur Ali Kopuz, Şahin Bilgiç, Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, İbrahim Burkay, Necdet Özer, Cengiz Günay and Selçuk Öztürk – planted sycamores tagged with their names at the TOBB Union Center garden. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu the other Board Members also attended the ceremony.​

Providing people with jobs and food is akin to prayer

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Council Member Seminar taking place at the TOBB Union Center on the 31st of October through to the 2nd of November, 2014. Thanking the council members for their attendance, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that those who provide people with jobs and food have taken on a very valuable mission, said, “Providing people with jobs and food is akin to prayer.”​

“Düzce is the shining star of Turkey”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Düzce Chambers and Exchanges Joint Meeting. In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu celebrated the 91st anniversary of the Founding of the Republic, “Two terrible events have plunged what should have been our most joyous day into darkness.” Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his wish for the rescue of those trapped in the mining accident which took place in Karaman and prayed for the grace of Allah on the non-commissioned officer martyred in Diyarbakır.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Gerede Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with Gerede Governor Arslan Yurt, Gerede Municipality Director Mustafa Allar, Bolu TSO President Türker Ateş, Gerede TSO President Ersin Kaşka and the Gerede TSO Council Members.​
