TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, assessing the enactment of the Labor Courts Draft Bill and the implementation of mandatory mediation practice, stressed that the conditions for mediation should be sought before bringing trade disagreements to court. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Kastamonu Governor Yaşar Karadeniz at his office.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu participated in the foundation-laying ceremony of the new service building of the Tosya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Stating that Tosya meets one third of Turkey's demand for door, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It is a city that has been a brand name in Turkey both in exports and in door production.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the funeral of TOBB ETU Hospital Health Advisory Board Member Asaf Mehmetbeyoğlu’s mother Sevim Mehmetbeyoğlu, who passed away at the age of 84.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Moldova on the 8th and 9th of October, 2017, with a delegation accompanying him. Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Turkish entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova during his first visit to the country in cooperation with the Chisinau Turkish Embassy.​

TOBB representative Hakan Kızıltoprak was elected Chairman of the Industrial Contact Representatives Board of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated Kızıltoprak and said, “It is imperative for sustainable success at CERN to increase the human power and take collective steps with public institutions. This is an indication of our successful interactions with CERN. TOBB CERN Industry Liaison Office provides support at every step for our industrialists in CERN public tenders.”​
