TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Burhaniye Chamber of Commerce President Hüseyin Sarıbaş and council members, engaging in consultation with them. Hisarcıklıoğlu, who received information from Sarıbaş's about projects of the Chamber, had the opportunity to chat with council members. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Edremit Commodity Exchange. There, he attended the consultation meeting held at the Edremit Chamber of Commerce. Explaining that Edremit is a brand city and has a great potential, Hisarcıklıoğlu also gave hopeful messages about the domestic automobile and growth figures. Hisarcıklıoğlu added that he hopes the domestic car will be ready in 2021 and added that it is possible to achieve 7% growth rate.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the olive oil market as a part of his Ayvalık itinerary and toured the booths. Hisarcıklıoğlu received information about the products hosted by Ayvalık Mayor Rahmi Gencer, taking souvenir photographs with the attendees.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, participating in the 13th Ayvalık International Olive Harvest Days program, stated that Ayvalık olive oil received its geographical marker thanks to Ayvalık Chamber of Commerce, “Now it has begun to register in Europe. Ayvalık Olive Oil will be a brand in Europe. We will render all support in this endeavor. I believe that thanks to the hard work of our municipality and our chamber, Ayvalık’s world famous olive oil will reach the point it deserves.”​

TOBB President and TOBB Economics and Technology University (TOBB ETÜ) Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Our proudest project as TOBB has been to give Turkey such an educational institution because there is a strong relationship between the prosperity and the education level of a country. In my opinion, the most efficient contemporary factory that will make a nation rich is the university. Investing in education is the greatest service rendered unto the country.”​

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the well-established automotive giants are competing with each other in order to attain new generation of automobile technologies and said, “That's why this is exactly the time for Turkey's automobile.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Labor and Social Security Minister Jülide Sarıeroğlu at the workshop held in TOBB.​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), released a statement regarding the 3rd Tourism Summit organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to be held on November 1-3, 2017.​

Facebook will launch a comprehensive global project, #SheMeansBusiness, to support women who are setting up their own businesses and want to be entrepreneurs, together with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council in Turkey. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that, “The organization of production in the first industrial revolution had put women in a disadvantageous position in the economy, but in the new industrial revolution, things are changing and reason and digital technology have begun to take the its place of the muscle power.”​

EUROCHAMBRES Vice Chairman and TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu will continue to serve in the 2018-2019 period as Vice Chairman of the Council on the Eurochambres.​
