Hisarcıklıoğlu injects hope in Edremit

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Edremit Commodity Exchange. There, he attended the consultation meeting held at the Edremit Chamber of Commerce. Explaining that Edremit is a brand city and has a great potential, Hisarcıklıoğlu also gave hopeful messages about the domestic automobile and growth figures. Hisarcıklıoğlu added that he hopes the domestic car will be ready in 2021 and added that it is possible to achieve 7% growth rate.​

Speaking in Edremit, Balıkesir, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Last year, despite the crisis, 1.5 million people found employment.”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Edremit Commodity Exchange and the Edremit Chamber of Commerce in Edremit province on November 5, 2017, during his Ayvalık and Burhaniye itinerary. Hisarcıklıoğlu, greeted with flowers by the Commodity Exchange Chairman Tarkan Denizer and members of the board, visited the chamber building and presented a book to Denizer.

Denizer spoke about the endeavors of the commodity exchange and presented Hisarcıklıoğlu with a gift of healing nose oil, a derivative of olive oil. Hisarcıklıoğlu then went to the Edremit Chamber of Commerce and visited the renovated building. Hisarcıklıoğlu met with members of the press in the new meeting room of the Edremit Chamber of Commerce.

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that Edremit is a big commercial center by praising the Edremit district and said “This is my fifth visit to Edremit. Edremit is one of the brand cities of Turkey Edremit is a tourism, agriculture and trade center. Edremit Chamber of Commerce is working hard and has helped transform it into a beautiful and influential place Edremit Chamber of Commerce is 5-star chamber. This is the same standard as the Paris and London chambers in terms of service standard, which is something to be proud of.

Touching on ETO Chair Coşkun Salon’s request for a 24 classroom primary school for Edremit, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We promised 81 schools 6 years ago. Now there are 12 left to build. Hopefully next week after signing the protocol with the Ministry of National Education, we will have finished the last 12 provinces. After they’re finished, Allah willing, we will build a school in Edremit.”

- Domestic car to be released in 2021

M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu reported that he has signed a petition with 5 entrepreneurs in regards to the domestic car and that works have been initiated, “The President of the Republic of Turkey has a great vision. We worked for 5 months. We signed the protocol under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Turkey with the Prime Minister and the 5 entrepreneurs. We hope that the establishment of the company will concluded in the first months of 2018. I hope the prototype will pass through the Bosphorus Bridge in 2019. In 2021 will be the car of the consumer and the domestic market. It will be Turkey’s car. Automotive is the number 1 sector in Turkey. There is a new revolution in the automobile sector and we hope take part in this revolution with our domestic automobile. May it prove beneficial to our country.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu underlined that the Turkish private sector has achieved a remarkable growth rate, “When we look at the past year, we have experienced a year in which terrorist organizations roamed freely in our country as well as the coup attempt. After the visit, Hisarcıklıoğlu, accompanied by Balıkesir Commodity Exchange President Faruk Kula and other chamber presidents, had dinner in Edremit.
