Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in December 2023 increased by 4.8% (236 units) compared to November 2023 (4,873 units) and reached 5,109 units, while the increase was 1.4% (70 units) compared to December 2022.​

Group 3213 Knitted Fabric, Various Knitted Goods, Embroidery and Embroidery Processing Criteria Revision Workgroup Meeting was held with the chambers that sent opinions to the revision study online.​

Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister of Health and Family Welfare of Karnataka State of India and N R Boseraju, Minister of Water Affairs of Karnataka State met with Tamer Kıran, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in İstanbul. During the meeting, mutual ideas were exchanged on sectors and opportunities specific to the State of Karnataka.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Glassware Council held its last meeting of 2023 via video conference with the participation of Ali Kopuz, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TOBB, under the chairmanship of Murat Kolbaşı, Chairman of the Council.​

An online meeting was held with Export Support Offices. At the meeting on December 27, 2023, opinions, suggestions and evaluations were received from the offices regarding the activities to be carried out in 2024, and information was provided on the use of the Export Support website of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Venture Capital Council meeting was held at TOBB Istanbul Service Building with the participation of TOBB Board Member Mehmet Büyüksimitci, Council Chairman Altan Küçükçınar and Council members.​

Climate Change and Adaptation Coordination Board convened at Ankara İlbank Social Facilities under the chairmanship of Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.​

Supported by the World Bank and carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, KOSGEB and TUBITAK, the “Türkiye Green Industry Project” information meeting was held via video conference in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TOBB.​

Within the scope of International Energy Agency Executive Director Fatih Birol's visit to Türkiye, a meeting was held hosted by the Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek.​

On December 20, 2023, in the TOBB Provincial Women and Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Board Regional Representative elections held on December 20, 2023, the drawing of lots for the original and substitute members who received equal votes was held physically and online on December 26, 2023 in the presence of the TOBB Central Election Board.​
