Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Tax Advisory Board convened via video conference on November 7th, 2023 under the chairmanship of the Board Chairman Fatih Dural with the participation of TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç. ​

İbrahim Burkay, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, attended the 5th Business Forum of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.​

1258 Domestic Goods Certificates were approved by TOBB in October 2023 according to the Domestic Goods Communiqué (SGM 2014/35) prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology pursuant to Article 63 of the Public Procurement Law No. 4734 and published in the Official Gazette dated September 13, 2014 and numbered 29118.​

The expanded meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Cement and Cement Products Council was held under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Şaban A. Karamehmetoğlu with the participation of public, civil society and private sector representatives.​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in October 2023 increased by 3.8% (181) compared to October 2022 (4,715) and reached 4,896.​

The Waste Import Processes Consultation Meeting was held at the Twin Towers with the participation of Zeki Kıvanç, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), Hakkı Karabörklü, Director General of Product Safety and Inspection at the Ministry of Trade, Recep Akdeniz, Director General of Environmental Management at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and Cihan Tatar, Director General of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permits and Inspection.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) TIR Committee convened via video conference under the chairmanship of Tamer Kıran, Vice President of the Board of Directors of TOBB, with the participation of TIR Committee members.​

Türkiye-United Arab Emirates Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) 1st Term Meeting was held in İstanbul with the participation of Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.​

The elective meeting of the Türkiye Packaging Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) was held in İstanbul under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Members Zeki Kıvanç and Engin Yeşil with the participation of public, non-governmental organizations and private sector representatives in order to elect the Council Presidency and discuss sectoral problems.​

In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, a Moto-Courier Workshop was organized at TOBB Twin Towers to discuss the position of moto-courier activities on legal grounds.​
