Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The preview of the Instant Roadside Data Analysis Module, which enables instant analysis in roadside inspections, was held at Akıncı Roadside Inspection Station on 25 August 2023.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Food Industry Council Meeting was held via video conference with the participation of TOBB Board Member Işınsu Kestelli under the chairmanship of Council President Necdet Buzbaş.​

The Economic Report Review Commission, Construction and Contracting Services Board, Agriculture Board, European Union Harmonization Commission, Livestock Board, Economic Policy Commission, Foreign Relations Commission, SME Policies Board, Social Policies Board, Press and Publication Commission, Petitions Review Commission, Tourism Board, Vocational Education Board, Legislation Commission, Accounts Review Commission, Climate Change and Environment Board, Tax Commission, Women's Studies Board and R&D and Innovation Board held their first meetings and elected their chairs, vice chairs, speakers and rapporteurs.​

The SESRIC Training Workshop on Promoting Startup Ecosystems and Entrepreneurship Activities in the Member Countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation took place via video conference on 22-23 August 2023. Hasan Çağlayan Dündar, Advisor to the President of TOBB/Director of the Department of R&D and Implementation of the Real Sector, Ahmet Saygın Baban, Director of the Department of Sectors and Entrepreneurship, and Cahit Ceren, SME Policies and Industry Manager, participated in the workshop and provided information on the projects carried out by the Union in the field of vocational training, entrepreneurship and start-ups.​

On August 11, 2023, the members elected to the TOBB Insurance Agents Executive Committee held their first meeting at the Union Headquarters in Ankara on August 24, 2023. ​

Within the scope of the Chamber / Exchange Accreditation System studies, Process and Risk Management Training was organized in our Union on 21-22 August 2023 for the 4th, 6th, 9th, 12th Term Accredited Chambers / Exchanges.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Agriculture Council Meeting was held via video conference method with the participation of TOBB Board Members Ali Çandır and Işınsu Kestelli, who are responsible for the Council, and with the intense interest of senior representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations under the chairmanship of Council President Ülkü Karakuş.​

During the first seven months of the year 2023 the number of newly established Companies and the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 1,8% and 16,4% while the number of cooperatives increased by 71,5% with respect to the same period of the year 2022.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Education Council paid a goodwill visit to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Otrar, Director General of Special Education and Guidance Services at the Ministry of National Education, for his new position.​

Within the scope of the Chamber / Commodity Exchange Accreditation System efforts, Process and Risk Management Training was organized at TOBB on 14-15 August 2023 for Class C Accredited Chambers / Exchanges of the 3rd, 8th, 11th, 14th Term.​
