Companies can judge their preparedness for the New Turkish Commercial Code from TTKmetre
TOBB and Deloitte launched the TTKmetre online electronic application for companies. With this survey companies will see to what extent they are equipped for the new Turkish Commercial Code. The Chairman of TOBB, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stated that, “Seminars for the New Turkish Commercial Code (TCC), as well as the New Code of Obligations and Code 6111 around Turkey will be organised by TOBB and Deloitte. A team of experts and academics inform companies about what they need to do. The first seminar is going to be at the headquarters of TOBB in Ankara on the 14th April 2011.”

“Licensed warehousing discussed at TOBB”
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey’s Extended Council Meeting of Commodity Exchanges was held at TOBB with the participation of 111 presidents of Commodity Exchange. During the meeting the future of the licensed warehousing was discussed.

Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Bakir İzzetbegoviç
The President of TOBB, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Bakir İzzetbegoviç, member of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Council in Sarajevo. Vice Presidents of TOBB, Halim Mete, Faik Yavuz and Murat Yalçıntaş also participated in the meeting which was held in Presidency of BiH.

We need to focus on new markets..
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated during the meeting in Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce that Turkey has missed the tendency, the world went through in 1991. Now we are aware of all after the 2001 crisis. Hisarcıklıoğlu noted “World tends to be in the period of a new change and transformation now. Please know you realize it. We need to focus on new markets. There is also a new political transformation in the Middle East. Is there any risk in that, yes there is. But we are going to deflect the Middle East into gain.”
