TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stated in his Fathers’ Day message that fathers are those who give all for their families, are the symbol of power and invincibility in the eyes of their children; a hero who can accomplish any task.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu drew attention to the low bilateral trade volume and emphasized the need to improve upon it. President Hisarcıklıoğlu relayed his observations to an AA reporter after talks in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto during his visit to Canada.​

At a conference held in Montreal, Canada TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that a more inclusive globalization definition is necessary for women, young people and underdeveloped countries. Hisarcıklıoğlu warned that protectionism is increasing, the distribution of income in the world has worsened due to the weaponization of trade to solve political problems.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Canadian International Trade Minister François-Philippe Champagne in Ottowa with the accompanying delegation him. Various aspects of cooperation were discussed. Deputy Canadian International Trade Minister Alex Bugailiskis was also present during the meeting.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu evaluated growth figures. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the growth rate in the first quarter is an indicator for high growth in 2017. “The high growth performance seen in the first quarter is aided greatly by the projects we have undertaken together with the government. Turkey is moving towards a future that is stronger and more prosperous, with those who trust it and those who invest in it.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Abdurrahman Kaan, who was elected as the MUSİAD General Presidency, and conveyed his well wishes. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the iftar program in which Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım met with representatives of the business world at Dolmabahçe Prime Ministry Office.​

The “Women Writing the Future Project” training sessions, organized through TOBB, Turkcell and TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Board cooperation, began on the 10th of June in 18 provinces with the participation of approximately 1400 women. Speaking in regards to the project, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that he believes in the power of the women who will engage with the technologies of the future.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Finance Minister Naci Ağbal. During a meeting held closed to the press, measures to open the way for the business world, especially VAT and Income Tax, were discussed. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received the Hakkari Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Servet Taş, Şirnak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Osman as well as the delegations accompanying them at his office.​
