The president of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Mr. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the First Conference held with Commercial Counselors of Turkey coming all around the world, told that in order for increasing the welfare of the Turkish people and enable them to take a greater share from the global economy, without discrimination between public and private sector and not  being on the wrong track of institutional fanaticism, Turkey should work hand in hand. ​ ​

Civil Society Platform's call on EU Membership Process

The meeting is held in cooperation of Economic Development Foundation (IKV) and Turkey Europe Association (TAV) on 22 April 2011 in Istanbul. With the participation of more than 100 civil society organizations and university representatives, “Civil Society Platform for Turkey’s EU Membership Process" is formed. Platform agreed on a joint declaration at the end of the meeting. ​ ​
