TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Minister of Development, Cevdet Yılmaz and expressed his well wishes and wished him success. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the new Ministry would play an important role in Turkey’s development, to which Minister Yılmaz emphasized their view of TOBB as a very important partner in the development process.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, saying that Minister Yılmaz, in his previous Ministerial offices and bureaucratic duties has always supported the Turkish private sector, “Our development agencies are one of the most important points in this. We hope to become one of the 10 largest economies in the world by 2023 via the closer cooperation of the private sector and public administration.”
Development Minister Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized that TOBB has a very critical role in development and that they viewed TOBB as a very important partner in this process. Yılmaz stated; “We will continue our efforts as the Development Ministry with the 2023 goal in mind. Whether it be in our macro plans and work or regional or local policies, we will set our sector policies to this end. We will collaborate with the business world, vocational organizations and non-governmental organizations. TOBB is our institutional partner, not just on a consultative or advisory basis. We will be establishing new frameworks both centrally and regionally. We will keep collaborating there as well.”
