Praise for the new Trade Law from Hisarcıklıoğlu
Visiting Governor Mehmet Celalettin Lekesiz as part of his Hatay program along with Justice Minister Ergin, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the new Turkish Trade Law embodies the utmost revolutionary changes. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The new Turkish Trade Law will contribute greatly to trade. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to it.”

TOBB ETU lays the foundation of technology to offset current deficit by 6 billion Dollars
The foundation for the TOBB ETU Technology Center which will also house the world’s largest water turbine center has been laid. TOBB ETU Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the ceremony stated that TOBB ETU is the bridge between academics and the business world and went on, “The Technology Center is the result of a shared vision. With this investment we will contribute by offsetting the current deficit by 6 billion Dollars.”

Turkey gaining say in the world digital tachograph production
The digital tachograph device, produced in only 4 countries in the world, will be produced in Turkey through an agreement signed by TOBB subsidiary TOBB UND Logistics Investment Inc. Türktrust and ASELSAN. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that this project would ensure that 1 billion Euros would stay in the country.

EUROCHAMBRES reevaluating priorities and action plan according to how the crisis is progressing
TOBB President and EUROCHAMBRES Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the EUROCHAMBRES Presidential Council meeting. The meeting took place at the EUROCHAMBRES offices on the 11th of July, 2012, attended by the Presidential Council Members Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Poland and the Luxembourg Chambers Union. The EUROCHAMBRES Action Plan to be presented on the 19th of October, 2012 at the EUROCHAMBRES Plenary Meeting.

TOBB explained the new constitution to members of the European Parliament
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu briefed the members of the European Parliament on the public participation in the preparation of the new constitution. A business dinner organized by TOBB, Financial Development Foundation and the New Direction Foundation was held at the European Parliament in Brussels for the Constitution Platform.

We need 100,000 new entrepreneurs
Speaking at the “Contributors to Sinop’s Economy Awards Ceremony” held by the Sinop Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that 750,000 new people join Turkey’s workforce each year, that the private sector will create job opportunities and that 100,000 new entrepreneurs are required to accomplish this.

TOBB ETU will save 6 billion Dollars for Turkey with its giant technology center
TOBB ETU is establishing a Technology Center by investing 20 million TL. TOBB President and TOBB ETU Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that through the investment in said research which will be conducted here, housing the world’s largest water turbine test and design center, in the coming 5 years, the loss of 6 billion TL to foreign markets.

“The anguish for our martyred pilots is immense”
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his message regarding the announcement of the martyring of Air Force Captain Gökhan Ertan and Air Force Lieutenant Hasan Hüseyin Aksoy, who were shot down by Syria, stated that this anguish is felt at the heart of our nation and that the heroes who gave their lives for their country would never be forgotten.
